For comprehensive info on all aspects of hunting, visit www.ndow.org. Big game hunting, including antelope, elk, bighorn sheep, mountain goat and mule deer, require a hunting tag from the Nevada Division of Wildlife. To participate in the draw for hunting tags you must first purchase a NV hunting license. Mountain lion tags are not part of the draw and can be bought at license agents and NDOW offices. Sportsmen do not need a hunting license to kill furbearing animals like coyote, black-tailed jackrabbit, badger, weasel, skunk or raccoon, nor a trapping license for personal, non-commercial use. Seasons are established for beaver, muskrat, mink, otter, bobcat, gray fox and kit fox, which may be taken with a trap, gun or bow and arrow. More info at www.nvtrappers.org.
